Job Description

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR TO THE CEO - major international outsourcing / professional services group; c £60 - 70k base + corporate package depending upon individual experience; London based with significant travel (domestic and international).

This is a rare opportunity for an appropriately qualified former Officer to observe how a Chief Executive operates for 1 - 2 years before moving if successful into a senior line management role appropriate to your qualities / preference within the organisation.  You are in Army parlance (though you can be from any service) a senior Captain or possibly a junior Major of either gender at the very top of your cohort: probably a former Adjutant or Ops Officer: you may have been a Junior Staff Officer (SO3) in a demanding role, or an Assistant Military Assistant (AMA), going up possibly to Military Assistant (MA) or high grade SO2 at the top end of the bracket, and you are likely to have some Staff training.

Essentially this is a 'bag carrier' MA type role (it does not equate to an ADC - the CEO's PA performs most of those functions): you must exhibit basic qualities of Leadership; Organisational Skills; Drive; Ambition; Intellect and Focus, with strong interpersonal and influencing / relationship building qualities coupled with emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity given the international nature of the business.  You will be a strong communicator across the oral / written / presentational spectrum, discreet, able to cope with ambiguity and to anticipate the CEO's needs whilst 'managing' him tactfully to address priorities.  You must also be 'good Ambassador' material - thus highly presentable, well mannered and articulate. Language skills are certainly not essential but would be a plus (especially Spanish and Dutch).  Considerable time away must be expected.

Apply with CV in Word and covering letter outlining your fit to the role and earliest availability date to; deadline Fri 24 Feb, though early application may be advantageous.
